In this talk we will discuss lessons learned from several years' experience in modeling ontologies with domain experts. In particular, we will emphasize on quality aspects which make it easier to reuse ontologies and linked data published based on ontologies. We argue that modularization based on ontology design patterns improves quality control and at the same time simplifies information exchange between domain experts and ontology engineers.
