The technology implementation services Epxlain on the platform ZooSPACE, which provides access to distributed heterogeneous information resources in accordance with the protocols SRW/SRU, including Z39.50 through the graphical user WEB-interface are considered. We discuss the details of implementing user interfaces for information retrieval in a heterogeneous information resources that adapts to the structure and functionality of information sources on the example subsystem ZooSPACE-W.
