      <abstract>
        <p>This volume contains the papers presented at LD4IE2016: Linked Data for Information Extraction held on October 18th, 2016 in Kobe, Japan, in conjunction with the 15th International Semantic Web Conference (ISWC2016). Additional details on the LD4IE workshop series can be found at https: //w3id.org/ld4ie. The workshop this year features 3 full papers, 1 positional paper and 2 expert highlights papers. "Expert highlights", a novelty that we introduced this year at the workshop, are papers by researchers with established track record on speci c and critical topics in the eld on Information Extraction. Speci cally, Saif et al. address the topic of extracting and analysing sentiment from social media contents, while Mazumdar and Zhang report novel ndings about visualization techniques for Information Extraction, speci cally dealing with extraction from Web tables. The invited speaker for LD4IE2016 is Dr. Valentina Presutti, a researcher and team coordinator at the Semantic Technology Laboratory of the National Research Council (CNR) in Rome and Catania. She has more than ten years of experience in managing research and development projects in domains such as open data, data integration, knowledge extraction, content and knowledge management, natural language understanding, and ICT for eHealth. Her talk at LD4IE2014 is titled "Knowledge Extraction and Linked Data: Playing with Frames".</p>
