Preface

The Doctoral Symposium of the 19th ACM/IEEE International Conference on Model Driven Engineering
Languages and Systems (MoDELS) took place in Saint Malo, France on October 2, 2016. It received
10 submissions, all of which were reviewed by at least three members of the program committee. This
committee included senior members of the MoDELS community as well as authors of papers presented in
the MoDELS Doctoral Symposium in 2015. Out of the 10 submissions, 7 were accepted and presented during
the symposium. Each author was allocated a 20-minute slot to present the current status of their research
project, followed by 25 minutes of discussion. The program committee consisted of the following members:

The day concluded with an expert panel moderated by the chairs. The members of the panel were:
