<div xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0"><p>Observation data that can be handled in Sensor Web infrastructures may cover a broad variety of types. These range from air quality measurements, hydrological data and weather observations, to data collected by sea buoys or even complex autonomous systems, such as sea gliders or satellites.</p><p>Under the motto "Geospatial Sensor Webs", the 52°North Open Innovation Network has organized a forum in which Sensor Web researchers and practitioners presented and discussed their ideas, use cases and solutions.</p><p>The Geospatial Sensor Webs Conference 2016 continued the series of workshops on Sensor Web technologies, which started in 2013. For the first time, the 2016 edition included a conference track complementary to the workshop presentations.</p><p>These proceedings contain the accepted and presented papers of the conference track of the Geospatial Sensor Webs Conference 2016.
