Preface
ISW-LOD is a forum for the semantic web and linked open data communities, where practitioners
in industry, academia and others interested in these topics are welcome for describing real and
potential applications, share experience and discuss the latest scientific results and technology
innovations around semantic technologies and linked open data.

The Fourth International Semantic Web and Linked Open Data workshop (4th ISW-LOD 2016) took
place on November 23 at San José, Costa Rica. This fourth edition was Co-located with IBERAMIA
2016 and we focused on presenting articles on Semantic Web, IoT and Linked Open Data.

The goal of ISW-LOD is not only to create an interlinked web of knowledge on these topics in
Mexico, but also to create an interlinked Iberoamerican community by networking with
international and consolidated communities.

In this sense we had a Panel Discussions: Towards a Thematic Network on Semantic Technologies
with Héctor Gibrán Ceballos Cancino (ITESM, México) as chair and the followings participants:

Edna Ruckhaus Ontology Universidad Politécnica de Spain
