This volume contains materials of 3rd Russian scienti¯c conference "Mathematical Modeling and Information Technologies" (MMIT 2016) dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the birth of Professor Isaac Ya. Kats. The conference took place on November 16, 2016 at the Ural State University of Railway Transport (Yekaterinburg, Russia). Most of the reports at the conference were devoted to the application of mathematical methods and information technologies for modeling of various phenomena and processes. In particular, reports were presented on the following scienti¯c areas: optimal control theory, ¯nancial mathematics, continuum mechanics, theory of partial di®erential equations, robotics, cryptology and computer mathematics. A total of 80 reports were presented at the conference. For publication in the proceedings 42 reports were sent, 34 of which were selected for publication in this volume. All the papers were thoroughly reviewed by independent experts and members of the organizing committee.
