This proceedings is a collection of the position papers submitted to the CHI 2006 workshop on the
„Many Faces of Consistency in Cross-Platform Design“, which has taken place on April 22-23, 2006
in the Hyatt Hotel, Montréal, Quebéc, Canada, during the pre-conference program of the ACM
Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems.
Workshop schedule and details on the venue, program and participants can be found on

The first chapter contains the initial workshop description as submitted to the CHI conference
committee, which has been published in the Extended Abstracts of the conference proceedings.
The second chapter is a summary of the position papers that has been issued just before the
workshop to serve as white paper and initial mind set for the further discussion. This chapter may
serve as overview of the different perspectives on the topic of multi-device consistency.
Chapters three through fifteen are the single workshop position papers as submitted and revised by
the participants of the workshop. Detailed and original content should be referenced out of these
contributions.
