Proceedings of CHI 2006 Workshop “The Many Faces of Consistency in Cross-Platform Design” 0 Preface This proceedings is a collection of the position papers submitted to the CHI 2006 workshop on the „Many Faces of Consistency in Cross-Platform Design“, which has taken place on April 22-23, 2006 in the Hyatt Hotel, Montréal, Quebéc, Canada, during the pre-conference program of the ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems. Workshop schedule and details on the venue, program and participants can be found on http://www.multipleui.org. The first chapter contains the initial workshop description as submitted to the CHI conference committee, which has been published in the Extended Abstracts of the conference proceedings. The second chapter is a summary of the position papers that has been issued just before the workshop to serve as white paper and initial mind set for the further discussion. This chapter may serve as overview of the different perspectives on the topic of multi-device consistency. Chapters three through fifteen are the single workshop position papers as submitted and revised by the participants of the workshop. Detailed and original content should be referenced out of these contributions.
