      <abstract>
        <p>The REFSQ conference has a tradition of a special plenary session for conducting a “live study” involving the conference attendees on a voluntary basis. The live study track aims to promote the application of empirical research methods to the exploration and evaluation of requirements engineering phenomena. A live study could be an experiment, a focus group, an interview-based study or an online survey related to requirement engineering. For REFSQ 2020, we added the possibility of conducting a “user study” for evaluating requirements engineering tools. REFSQ 2020 received two submissions for “live studies”. Three independent reviewers reviewed each of the submissions. After given a conditional acceptance to both proposals, the co-chairs of the track decided to accept both live study proposals for inclusion in the conference program: • "Exploring the influence of the emotional state on the efficiency for correcting defects in conceptual models: a Live Study”, authored by Franci Suni, Angela Mayhua, Maria Fernanda Granda. • “On the Perceived Harmfulness of Requirement Smells: An Empirical Study”, authored by Valentina Lenarduzzi, Davide Fucci, Daniel Mendez.</p>
