This proceedings brings together works presented at the Digital Humanities
and Natural Language Processing Workshop that took place in E´vora on the
2nd of March 2020, along with the International Conference on the
Computational Processing of Portuguese, PROPOR 2020. Our workshop had an
enthusiastic audience, with a good variety of themes discussed along the day.
The papers covered areas such as literature, linguistics, history, law, twitter
analysis in relation to elections, and detection of fake news. All these
topics have been studied with the help of natural language processing models
and tools. Each paper was reviewed by three collaborators from our
international programme committee, composed by reviewers from nine di↵ erent
countries. The proceedings is organised in three sections, Full Papers
(describing complete studies), Short Papers (discussing ongoing research) and
Extended Abstracts (presenting initial projects).
