Proceedings of the BPM 2007 Demonstration Program at the Fifth International Conference on Business Process Management (BPM’07) Brisbane (Australia), 24-27 September 2007 Preface This volume contains the proceedings of the BPM 2007 Conference Demonstra- tion Program (BPM’07 Demo Program) as part of the Fifth International Con- ference on Business Process Management (BPM’07), held in Brisbane, Australia, on 24-27 September 2007, and organised by the Business Process Management Research Group, Faculty of Information Technology of the Queensland Univer- sity of Technology. The BPM Conference series provides one of the most prestigious forums for researchers and practitioners in all aspects of business process management, and has a record of attracting innovative research of the highest quality related to all aspects of business process management (theory, frameworks, methods, techniques, software architectures, empirical findings). The Demonstration Program showcases innovative business process manage- ment related implementations, technologies and tools, and provides a valuable opportunity to show and discuss emerging technologies with key researchers and practitioners in the BPM domain. Submissions were each evaluated by at least three members of the program committee, on the basis of their innovation, practical value, relevance and pre- sentation. Of the twelve submissions, five papers of the highest quality were accepted for presentation. Topics include business process flexibility and schema evolution, the interactive simulation of service choreographies, the integration of object life cycle and business process modelling, the efficient verification of EPC business process models and a policy-based middleware for monitoring of service compositions and their dynamic adaptation. We wish to thank the authors, the members of the program committee, the local BPM conference organisation team and the conference sponsors for their contributions to the success of the BPM’07 Demo Program.
