Preface It is our pleasure to present you the proceedings of the first International Workshop on Computational & Information Technologies for Risk-Informed Systems (CITRisk-2020), held in Kherson, Ukraine, on 15- 16 of October, 2020. The main purpose of the CITRisk-2020 workshop was a dissemination of the current research progress, innovative approaches, and original research results on application of computational and information technologies for risk-informed systems. We called for papers on risk analysis and risk-informed systems, including but not limited to the following topics: computational models and methods for risk-informed systems; intelligent information technologies for risk-informed systems; information technologies for diagnostic, modeling, and monitoring of crisis and disaster situations. The workshop established an academic environment that fostered the dialogue and exchange of ideas between scientists from Germany, Austria, Poland, Slovak Republic, Czech Republic, Norway, Portugal, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova. The language of CITRisk-2020 Workshop was English. The workshop took the form of oral presentations of peer-reviewed regular papers. The CITRisk-2020 Organizing Committee received 90 paper submissions, out of which we selected 27 papers and invited authors to develop the material into articles of publishable standars. All draft papers were rigiriusly peer-reviewed by two or three reviewers and revised by the authors. We would like to thank the Workshop Chairs and Program Committee Members, organization staff, and external reviewers, all of whom worked so hard to make the event a success. We recognize the commitment of all the authors who shared their knowledge and experience. Finely, we appreciate the assistance of all the reviewers who have provided expert criticism of the drafts and many constructive suggestions for revision. We sincerely wish that all attendees benefited scientifically from the workshop and wish them every success in their research.
