These proceedings contain the contributed papers for the Fourth International Workshop on Narrative Extraction from Texts (Text2Story20211) held in conjunction with the ECIR 2021 conference in Lucca, Italy, on the 1st of April 2021. Twenty papers were submitted for peer-review to this workshop. Out of these, 11 papers were accepted for this volume, 6 as regular papers, 1 demo paper, 1 nectar paper, 1 project description and 2 work in progress papers. Each submitted paper was reviewed by three members of an international programme committee. In addition to the selected papers, the workshop features three invited speakers: Jose Alves, Celia Rodrigues, and Leila Zia. Jose Alves and Celia Rodrigues gave a talk entitled \Storytelling through infographics". Leila Zia had a conversation with Al pio Jorge about how Wikimedia understands the Text2Narrative process.
