We are pleased to present the Workshop Proceedings of the 29th International Conference on Case-based Reasoning (ICCBR-21), held on September 13-16, 2021 in Salamanca (Spain) / Online. The proceedings consist of the following workshops: ● CBR Demos and Showcases pp. 2-10 ● XCBR: Case-Based Reasoning for the Explanation of Intelligent Systems pp. 11-95 We would like to thank all of you who contributed to the success of this workshop program, especially the authors and presenters who provided the research insights comprising the essential substance of the workshops. We would also like to thank all of the Program Committee members for their contributions leading to high quality submissions, and especially the workshop organisers for their hard work over the past year developing a compelling collection of workshop programs. Our special thanks go to the program chairs and the local chairs for their continuous support, efforts in planning the event, and assistance with producing the proceedings. We hope that authors and other participants enjoyed and are invigorated by this year's workshop program and also find valuable resources in these proceedings for furthering their research.
