Workshop Proceedings This volume of CEUR-WS Proceedings contains 6 Workshop papers presented at the 14th IFIP WG 8.1 working conference on the Practice of Enterprise Modelling (PoEM 2021). The workshops were online, originally held in Riga, Latvia, November 24, 2021.

This volume contains the proceedings of two workshops that were held in conjunction with PoEM 2021, i.e. EM4DT (1st Workshop on Enterprise Modeling for the Digital Transformation) and the BES workshop (2nd Workshop on Blockchain and Enterprise Systems).
PoEM is an annual meeting place and a discussion forum for the enterprise modelling and information systems community. It gathers academic researchers and practitioners aiming to share their achievements, knowledge and experiences on various topics related to enterprise modelling: enterprise modelling theory, practice, tools and frameworks, enterprise architecture, human aspects and quality issues in enterprise modelling, etc. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 14th edition of PoEM was held online but was originally planned to take place in Riga, Latvia from the 24th to the 26th of November 2021. The workshops were held on the first day of the conference, the 24th.
The EM4DT workshop tackles the tricky issues of using modelling tools to support the Digital Transformation (DT). The latter concerns the adoption of digital technology to sell products and services by replacing traditional channels and processes with digital ones. The DT has taken multiple forms in the last years and the recent Covid-19 pandemic also acted as an accelerator for the online business activities. The DT can be approached in an ad-hoc manner thinking in terms of isolated lakes that can be digitalized without global approach and/or central coordination. Digitalization initiatives can nevertheless also be approached in a more systematic manner and with the use of conceptual models. Lots of challenges need to be addressed before the DT can be approached in such a way. The workshop’s scientific output has the willingness to sustain the research in modelbased approaches to the DT to include a broader range of aspects (e.g., not only technical but also social and organizational) in the study of the DT. From the technical perspective, the workshop offers genuine approaches and models supporting academics in the study of the DT and professionals in approaching and conducting the DT. Conceptual, technical, application-oriented and case study contributions were welcomed within the themes of the workshop. The EM4DT workshop received 6 submissions and published 4 papers from researchers affiliated in Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, France, Germany and Sweden. The authors cover different aspects of modeling the DT including the strategic support of the DT, the link between the DT and agile development, a case study in the banking sector, digital marketplace business models, medical devices and security. The papers were reviewed and selected by the program committee after a rigorous reviewing process. Each paper was assigned to at least three members of the program committee. The BES workshop has the ambition to change the way one thinks, designs and implements enterprise systems. In an interconnected society, there is a growing need for coordination among different organizations, asking for trustable solutions to develop enterprise systems. From the technical perspective, the workshop can contribute to breaking the technological barriers for wider use of the blockchain in the enterprise systems, proposing novel approaches for the definition of such systems.
The second version of the BES workshop received 4 submissions and published 2 papers from researchers affiliated in Italy and the United States of America. The authors cover different aspects of blockchain and enterprise systems with a particular focus on privacy challenges, smart contracts modelling, and case studies. The papers were reviewed and selected by the program committee after a rigorous reviewing process. Each paper was assigned to at least three members of the program committee.
