Citation: Ryan Baker, Caitlin Mills, Ulrich Boser: Proceedings of the Workshop
for Undergraduates in Educational Data Mining and Learning Engineering. June 29,
2021, CEUR Workshop Proceedings (CEUR-WS.org), online (2021).
The long-term success of any community of research and practice depends on
bringing in the next generation of scholars to participate in the field. The objective of
this workshop is to showcase the work of next-generation scholars and practitioners in
education data mining, including both undergraduates and advanced high school
students, and facilitate conversations on how we can create a talent pipeline in the
field. Undergraduates have been at the forefront of generating interest in learning
engineering and educational data mining, and this workshop will crucially feature their
work and center their perspective.
