==Preface: RCIS 2022 Research Projects Track==
RCIS 2022: RESEARCH PROJECTS @ RCIS Track Alessandra Bagnato1 and Lidia López2 1 Softeam, 3 Avenue du centre, Guyancourt, 78280, France 2 Barcelona Supercomputing Center, Plaça Eusebi Güell, 1-3, Barcelona, Spain 1. Preface The Research Projects @ RCIS 2022 track is entirely devoted to presenting future or ongoing research projects (e.g., H2020 or ERC projects, national grants) in the context of information science. This track features a good opportunity for presenters to get feedback before submitting a research project or to disseminate the intermediate results of their projects, and for participants to get an updated view of innovative ongoing research while getting in touch with potential research partners. The Research Projects Track followed a two-step publication process. Firstly, the authors had to submit a short paper (5-8 pages) summarising the objectives of the project and relevant results, the accepted papers had to prepare a poster. We received seventeen submissions, all submissions were reviewed by at least two members of the Program Committee (PC), and we are happy to say that fourteen papers were accepted. The track has been organised in two sessions: in the first sessions the authors of each accepted paper presented their project; and, the second session has been organised as a poster session allowing all the participants to interact with the projects to have a deeper understanding and exchange ideas. 2. Acknowledgements We thank the authors for their submissions and the PC members for their help in promoting the track and reviewing the submissions. We greatly appreciate the support of the RCIS 2022 General Chair, Xavier Franch, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Spain and the Program Chairs, Renata Guizzardi, Twente University, The Netherlands and Jolita Ralyté, University of Geneva, Switzerland. Xavier, Renata and Jolita were always available to contribute with ideas and enthusiasm to promote the Research Projects @ RCIS 2022 track. We also acknowledge the support of Carme Quer, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Spain as local organiser for providing us with all the resources for running the paper presentations and the associated posters on May 19th 2022. Last but not least, we thank the Workshop chairs, João Araújo, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, Portugal and Jose Luis de la Vara, University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain for configuring the proceedings and supporting the Research Project @ RCIS Track publication process. 3.
