                                           Preface
NMR is the premier forum for results in the area of nonmonotonic reasoning. Its aim is to bring
together active researchers in this broad field within knowledge representation and reasoning (KRR),
including belief revision, uncertain reasoning, reasoning about actions, planning, logic programming,
preferences, deontic reasoning, argumentation, causality, and many other related topics including sys-
tems and applications.
NMR has a long history - it started in 1984 and has been held every two years until 2020, and then
every year. Recent previous NMR workshops were held in Hanoi (virtually) (2021), Rhodes (virtually)
(2020), Tempe (2018), Cape Town (2016), Vienna (2014), Rome (2012), Toronto (2010), and Sydney
(2008).

This volume contains the papers accepted for presentation at the 20th edition of the workshop,
held on August 7–9, 2022 in Haifa, as part of the Federated Logic Conference (FLoC 2022). There
were 20 submissions, each of which has been reviewed by three program committee members. The
committee has decided to accept 18 papers: 12 are presented as full papers and 6 as extended ab-
stracts. The program also includes three invited talks by Thomas Eiter (TU Wien), Pierre Marquis
(Univ. Artois, CNRS, CRIL / Institut Universitaire de France) and Serena Villata (CNRS - Labora-
toire d’Informatique, Signaux et Systèmes de Sophia-Antipolis).
