The iStar workshop series is dedicated to the discussion of concepts, methods, techniques, tools, and applications associated with i* and related goal modelling approaches. The objective of the workshop is to provide a unique opportunity for researchers in the area to exchange ideas, compare notes, promote interactions, and forge new collaborations. In line with the ER 2022 conference theme “Conceptual Modeling to support Big Data Analytics and AI”, this edition of the iStar workshop series also seeks to explore how i* may be applied to empower Analytics and AI. For example, how to capture requirements of AI systems using i*? How can i* aid in identifying relevant target users in AI and analytics? Can i* contribute to promote fairness in AI analytics? We keep an informal workshop format to promote and maximize interaction. Aiming at an inclusive and discussion-oriented workshop, the main criterion for paper acceptance in iStar'22 is relevance and potential for stimulating discussion and possible collaborations among the participants. A 32-member program committee, consisting of scholars and practitioners with expertise and interest in the field, was involved in reviewing a total of 9 complete paper submissions. Each of the papers was reviewed by three program committee members and one meta-reviewer. Since 8 submitted papers satisfied the paper acceptance criteria, they were accepted for presentation in the workshop. The revised version of the papers is included in the proceedings that follow. Each paper was given 20 minutes for presentation and discussion. iStar'22 included a keynote by o. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Aditya Ghose, from the University of Wollongong, entitled “The future of distributed goal modelling with i*”. We would like to thank the authors for submitting their papers and all the members of the Program Committee and additional reviewers for providing their expertise and suggesting constructive advice to improve the quality of published papers. We want to thank the organisers of the ER 2022 conference and ER 2022 Workshop organisers for their support. Finally, we want to thank the iStar steering committee for their valuable support, ideas, and effort to bringing the iStar community together.
