<div xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0"><head>Preface</head><p>This volume contains the papers presented at IWESQ 2022: 4th International Workshop on Experience with SQuaRE series and its Future Direction held on December 6, 2022 in Tokyo (actually held online for the situation of .</p><p>There were 8 submissions. Each submission was reviewed by three program committee members. The committee decided to accept 7 papers (including three short papers). Its acceptance rate is 87.5%. The program includes one invited talk.</p><p>The ISO/IEC 25000 (Systems and Software Quality Requirements and Evaluation: SQuaRE) series is a set of international standards for systems and software, data and IT service quality, which has been widely used for a couple of decades. In the research field, it have been also examined as a tool for performing various analyses and evaluations on systems and software quality.</p><p>The 4th International Workshop on Experience with SQuaRE series and its Future Direction (IWESQ 2022) aims at sharing such research outcomes and issues, and experience of practical applications of the SQuaRE series, in order to promote much more fruitful research and practice for quality systems and software products.</p><p>Furthermore, we gratefully acknowledge the professional work of the international program committee members, who have contributed substantially with their highly qualified referee reports.</p><p>In addition, we owe great thanks to the APSEC conference organization members for their dedication and professionalism in taking care of the many aspects of conference management.</p><p>Moreover, we would like to thank the developers and other professional staff of EasyChair.org, who made it possible for us to use the resources of this excellent and comprehensive conference management system, from the call of papers and inviting reviewers, to handling paper submissions, communicating with the authors, and creating the online volume of the conference proceedings.</p><p>We also want to thank all presenters and attendees for actively contributing to the success of IWESQ 2022. We are looking forward to excellent presentations and fruitful discussions, which will broaden our professional horizons.
