The first international workshop on Intelligent workshop on Intelligent Software Engineering (ISE 2022) was held on Dec. 06th 2022, co-located with the 29th Asia-Pacific Software Engineering Conference (APSEC 2022). ISE 2022 aimed to discuss new idea with intelligent methods for solving software engineering problems and the effectiveness of the proposed ideas. ISE 2022 intended to understand the impact of a specified problem and appropriateness of the proposed idea to the problem. Another workshop of APSEC 2022, the third international workshop on Intelligent Software Engineering Automation (ISEA 2022) was merged into this workshop ISE 2022. Intelligent Software Engineering Automation (ISEA) aimed at bringing together international researchers and practitioners in the fields of intelligent Software Engineering/Automated software engineering to present and discuss applications, experiences and emerging advanced techniques. Two workshops managed their submissions separately and received 30 papers in a total. Out of those papers, 16 papers were accepted and presented in the workshop. However, two papers were excluded from the proceeding of CEUR-WS.ORG, due to the rule that the minimum length of the short paper should be 5 pages. There are five workshop organizers, Sajid Anwar and Abdul Rauf from ISEA 2022 and Seonah Lee, Jinhyun Kim, and Suwon Lee from ISE 2022. There are two program committee members, 19 members from ISEA 2022 and 10 members from ISE 2022. Among them, two organizers, Seonah Lee and Sajid Anwar actively worked on the publication of the ISE proceeding. We would like to thank all the participants Intelligent workshop on Intelligent Software Engineering (ISE 2022). We would also like to thank the Organizers and Program Committee members, for the work they put in to organize this event. We hope to keep continue organizing this workshop with the coming APSEC 2023.
