<abstract>

The Journal Early Feedback track is a journal-first-inspired track that is hosted for the first time by the 29th International Working Conference on Requirement Engineering: Foundation for Software Quality. In traditional journal-first tracks, the authors of selected journal papers present their work, already published, at the conference. In the spirit of REFSQ, which is a working conference, this track does not include already-published papers but instead allows authors to present and discuss their almost-ready, just submitted, or just-rejected journal papers, and thus gather input from the community on their work and, if available, the comments they have received from the reviewers.

The papers presented in this track receive comments from an assigned discussant, who is
an expert on the topic tackled in the paper, and the whole community. This is beneficial for
the authors, who receive feedback for improving their manuscript, but also for the REFSQ
community at large, who is able to have sneak peeks at new exciting research and support
researchers in improving them.
