      <abstract>
        <p>Since many editions, the Biannual Conference of the Italian SIGCHI Chapter (CHItaly) includes a Doctoral Consortium session in its program. The goal of the Doctoral Consortium is to provide a setting for PhD students to present their work and receive feedback on their doctoral research plan and progress. Students are ofered the opportunity to articulate and discuss their problem statement, goals, methods, and results. The Doctoral Consortium also aims at providing students with guidance on various aspects of their research from established researchers. For this reason, students are connected with a mentor who will meet them and discuss with them on their research. Finally, the Doctoral Consortium also seeks to motivate students to interact with their peers and facilitate their networking within the research community.</p>
