At REFSQ 2024, we maintain the tradition of inviting researchers and practitioners to share their latest findings and innovations in Requirements Engineering through poster presentations and tool demonstrations. This track allows participants to showcase their work, receive valuable feedback, and shed light on tool prototypes. We received five submissions for the posters and tool demonstrations track. All submissions were reviewed by at least three members of the Program Committee. We are pleased to announce that one poster and three tool demonstrations met our high-quality standards and were accepted for presentation: • Scrum Sustainability Poker: Assessing the Sustainability Efects of User Stories in Agile Software Development by Peter Bambazek, Thomas Hofer, and Iris Groher • Combining Requirements Engineering Techniques for the Analysis of a Legacy System by Jessica Friedline and Jan-Philipp Steghöfer • RE-Miner: Mining Mobile User Reviews with Feature Extraction and Emotion Classification by Quim Motger, Max Tiessler, Marc Oriol, and Irene Bertolín • LEMON: A Tool for Enhancing Software Requirements Communication through Requirements Pattern-based Modelling Assistance by David Mosquera, Oscar Pastor, and Jürgen Spielberger The authors of each accepted poster or tool demonstration presented their work during the conference. Additionally, each submission was included in the REFSQ 2024 Joint Proceedings of the Co-located Events as a short paper. This year, we emphasized making this track more interactive with the industry track. Participants of REFSQ 2024 had the opportunity to vote for the best Poster and/or tool demonstration.
Furthermore, each poster and tool author had the chance to give a short pitch to introduce their research to the conference audience.
We hope these initiatives have enriched the participants’ experience and contributed to the continuous advancement of the Requirements Engineering field.
