RCIS 2024 Research Projects Track Dimitris Karagiannis1 , Camille Salinesi2 and Tiago Prince Sales3 1 University of Vienna, Austria 2 Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, France 3 Semantics, Cybersecurity and Services, University of Twente, The Netherlands The RCIS “Research Projects” track provides a platform for researchers to showcase their ongoing or completed projects relevant to the broad field of Information Science (IS). We received a total of 13 submissions, encompassing a diverse range of projects. Following a rigorous double-blind peer-review process by at least two members of the RCIS scientific committees, we are delighted to present the 8 accepted papers in this volume. The “Research Projects” track welcomes submissions on a variety of project types: projects funded by the European Union, by national or local funding organizations, or even by individual universities and industries; projects focused on fundamental research, applied research or be more industry-oriented; projects carried out by an international consortium of partners or projects might involve partners of the same country; and research statements for future projects concerning Research Challenges in Information Science. Submissions were evaluated with respect to clarity of the project goals and expected outcomes, the relevance of the project or one of its work packages to the RCIS conference topics, and a clear positioning of the project in the information science research landscape. You will find that the papers also document other aspects of the projects such as funding sources, research focus, collaboration, project stage, etc. We believe these proceedings offer valuable insights into the cutting-edge research currently underway in the field of Information Science. We encourage readers to explore the diverse projects presented here, engage with the authors, and foster new collaborations. We express our sincere gratitude to the authors for their valuable contributions and the reviewers for their dedication in ensuring the high quality of the presented research. We look forward to a stimulating exchange of ideas during the “Research Projects” track at RCIS 2024!
