This volume contains the papers presented at the Second International Workshop on Geographic Information Extraction from Texts (GeoExT1), held on March 24, 2024, in Glasgow, Scotland, as part of the 46th European Conference on Information Retrieval (ECIR 2024). We received 14 submissions from authors from 5 countries, out of which 12 papers were accepted. Each submission underwent a review process by at least two program committee members. The workshop featured an invited speaker, Beatrice Alex, who delivered a talk entitled 'News Media as a Lens: Exploring Neighbourhood Health through the Analysis of Geoparsed and Clustered Local News'. We want to acknowledge ECIR for hosting the workshop, our keynote speaker, the program committee, paper authors, and attendees, without whom this event would not have been possible. We also extend our sincere gratitude to CEUR Workshop Proceedings for their support in publishing the outcomes of our workshop.
