      <p>This workshop provides an international forum for young scientists, students from various
fields and with cross-disciplinary interests. We have gathered here to provide a platform for young
scientists to present their research and scientific results, to motivate students in their scientific
endeavors, and to foster creativity in scientific activities.</p>
      <p>The First International Workshop of Young Scientists on Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable
Development brought together scientists for the first time to solve the problems of using artificial
intelligence to support the goals of sustainable development, including for the development of
international cooperation of young scientists.</p>
      <p>The plenary session of the conference was opened by Professor of the Wroclaw University of
Economics and Business Artur Roth. In the report "Artificial Intelligence: Concepts and Applications",
Professor Roth outlined the features of using the functional diversity of artificial intelligence in
education, science, medicine, and technology.</p>
      <p>The professor of civil law of the Jagiellonian University delivered the report "Digital Law of
the European Union", professor of European private law, comparative law and Polish private law at
the University of Osnabrück, Doctor Honoris Causa, member of the supervisory board of WUNU
Fryderyk Zoll. The professor considered the problematic issues of regulatory regulation of new
digital legal relations by EU secondary law, outlined the directions of development of EU digital
legislation.</p>
      <p>Keynote speeches of conference speakers were distinguished by a high level of interactivity,
stimulating scientific exchange of opinions and analysis of research results among participants.</p>
      <p>The authors presented their reports in the following sections:
- Smart Technologies for Economic and Management
- Innovations in Nature Management and Infrastructure
- Technological Innovations in Law and Social Development
- Application of Artificial Intelligence in Education</p>
      <p>There were 46 papers submitted for peer-review to this workshop. Out of these, 19 papers
were accepted for this volume, 14 as regular papers and 5 as short papers.</p>
      <p>We express our sincere gratitude to all participants of the workshop for the fruitful discussion
and significant scientific work of young scientists. Until the next meetings.</p>
