<abstract>

These proceedings contain the papers accepted for the Adaptive Lifelong Learning workshop colocated with the AI in Education (AIED) conference, held on 8 th July 2024, in Recife, Brazil. Three papers were accepted from five submissions (three long papers and two short papers) after peer review by two reviewers from the program committee listed below. Additionally, an overarching paper by the workshop organizers discusses the central topics of the workshop, contextualizing the findings of accepted papers and conversations during the workshop. A paper that summarizes the invited talk about adaptive learning in MOOCs is also included in the proceedings.
