Preface to the Proceedings of BEWARE-24
The third edition of the BEWARE workshop (https://sites.google.com/view/beware2024), was
held in Bolzano, Italy, on November 26, 2024, as part of the programme of the 23rd International
Conference of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence (AIxIA 2024). The workshop focused on
the emerging ethical aspects of AI, particularly addressing Bias, Trust, Risk, Explainability, and the
role of Logic and Logic Programming in this area of research. The event brought together a diverse
community of researchers and practitioners to discuss and explore solutions for ethical decision-making
in AI that users and stakeholders consider technologically reliable and socially acceptable.
This year, the workshop enjoyed strong participation, with 12 accepted high-quality submissions, 7
as regular papers and 5 as short papers (out of a total of 16 submitted papers), thoroughly peer-reviewed
by our Program Committee members:
We extend our sincere thanks to all participants and the Program Committee for their exceptional
