This volume contains the papers presented at the Third International Workshop on Geographic Information Extraction from Texts (GeoExT1), held on April 10, 2025, in Lucca, Italy, as part of the 47th European Conference on Information Retrieval (ECIR 2025). We received 10 submissions from authors representing 5 countries, of which 7 papers were accepted. Each submission underwent a review process by at least three program committee members. The workshop featured an invited keynote by Prof. Dr. Jochen L. Leidner, titled 'From Toponym Resolution to Advanced Models of Spatial Grounding: Past, Present and (One Possible) Future', and an industry talk delivered by Peter Bormann, Alwyn Rowlands, and Jesse Lord, titled 'Automatic Geolocation and Map-Based Retrieval of Unstructured Geoscience Documents Using Weighted Spatial Statistics, Novel User Interfaces, and Elasticsearch'. We gratefully acknowledge ECIR for hosting the workshop, our keynote and industry speakers, the program committee, paper authors, and all attendees-without whom this event would not have been possible.
