This conference provides an international forum for young scientists, students from various
fields and with cross-disciplinary interests. We have gathered here to provide a platform for young
scientists to present their research and scientific results, to motivate students in their scientific
endeavors, and to foster creativity in scientific activities.

The event was divided into two workshops in Ternopil and Skomorokhy.

The Second International Conference of Young Scientists on Artificial Intelligence for
Sustainable Development brought together scientists to solve the problems of using artificial
intelligence to support the goals of sustainable development, including for the development of
international cooperation of young scientists.

The plenary session was addressed by Artur Skoczylas – KGHM Cuprum Research and
Development Centre Ltd. and a PhD candidate at the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business
(Poland) with report “«Applications of artificial intelligence in mining processes: insights from selected
projects” . The second plenary report was attended by Mykola Striletskyi - Director at Apiko Software
with report “Large language model security: what to take into consideration to build secure ai
applications?”.

Keynote speeches of conference speakers were distinguished by a high level of interactivity,
stimulating scientific exchange of opinions and analysis of research results among participants.

The «AI for Environmental and Social Sustainability Workshop» consisted of two sections:
- Sustainable development through the synergy of AI, ecology and innovation;
- Innovative applications of AI to enhance social sustainability.

The «Workshop on AI and Interdisciplinary Innovations for Sustainable Development»
consisted of two sections:
- Transparency in human-AI interaction;
- AI in IT systems for sustainable development: infrastructure, automation.

There were 55 papers submitted for peer-review to this conference. Out of these, 32 papers
were accepted for this volume, 22 as regular papers and 10 as short papers. The conference was
attended by representatives from 27 different universities, which emphasizes the broad audience
appeal.

We express our sincere gratitude to all participants of the conference for the fruitful
discussion and significant scientific work of young scientists. Until the next meetings.
