      <abstract>
        <p>This volume contains a selection of the papers presented during the 25th edition of the International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction, INTERACCIÓN 2025, held on September 3, 4, and 5 in the city of Valladolid, Spain. INTERACCIÓN is an annual event promoted by the Human-Computer Interaction Association (AIPO) and the Spanish chapter of ACM SIGCHI (Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction, CHISPA), whose objective is to promote and disseminate scientific advances in the discipline of HumanComputer Interaction (HCI) among the Spanish-speaking community. AIPO has been promoting this conference annually since 2000, interrupted only in 2020 due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Previous editions were held in Granada (2000), Salamanca (2001), Leganés (2002), Vigo (2003), Lleida (2004), Granada (as part of the first CEDI 2005), Puertollano (2006), Zaragoza (during CEDI 2007), Albacete (2008), Barcelona and Armenia, Colombia (2009), Valencia (during CEDI 2010), Lisbon (2011), Elche (2012), Madrid (during the celebration of CEDI 2013), Tenerife (2014), Vilanova i la Geltrú (2015), Salamanca (during the celebration of CEDI 2016), Cancún, Mexico (2017), Palma de Mallorca (2018), San Sebastián (2019), Málaga (during the CEDI 2021 conference), Teruel (2022), Lleida (2023), A Coruña (during the CEDI 2024 conference) and, currently, in Valladolid. This event has been organized by two research groups from the University of Valladolid: ECA-SIMM (Advanced Computing Environments and Multimodal Interaction Systems) and GSIC/EMIC (Intelligent and Collaborative Systems Group/Education, Media, Informatics and Culture), whose main focuses are on the fields of speech technologies and technology-enhanced learning, based on HCI conceptual and methodological frameworks. Both groups are characterized by their interdisciplinary approach to research and their consideration of cognitive, social, and ethical factors as crucial aspects of the human processes they seek to support with the technological contributions resulting from their research. Out of 30 papers submitted for peer review to this conference, 27 papers were accepted for presentation. Among them, 17 papers written in English were selected for this volume, 12 as regular papers and 5 as short papers. This book of proceedings shows the ongoing evolution of research and development within the Latin American Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) research community. It includes a large presence of collaborative work between universities across Spain and Latin America. The included works address topics of significant contemporary relevance, such as social interaction with robots, exploring associated cognitive and accessibility challenges, and studies that investigate the interplay between cognitive aspects and clinical variables, accessibility, or interaction with intelligent agents. There is also research on virtual and extended reality interfaces, as well as studies on foundational themes in the HCI field, such as evaluation, usability, and user experience (UX). The diversity of topics reflects the growing importance of HCI as a discipline in a world increasingly shaped by technology, where interaction paradigms influence not only behavior but also ways of thinking. This context demands interdisciplinary approaches that consider ethical dimensions, including explainability and accessibility, both of which are also addressed in several of the included communications. We thank all the authors who submitted their work to this year's conference. We also thank all Program Committee members and reviewers for their voluntary contributions - you are essential for sustaining the quality in our field. The conference is hosted at the School of Computer Engineering of the University of Valladolid at Valladolid, Spain, and has been sponsored by AIPO, the Center of Artificial Intelligence of the University of Valladolid (supported by IdeVa from Ayuntamiento de Valladolid), and the School of Computer Engineering itself. We had the administrative support of Fundación Universidad de Valladolid (FUVa).</p>
