<abstract>

Nagarjuna is an academic working at Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education at Mumbai, and an activist of free knowledge and free software. His research area is to explore the structure and dynamics of knowledge, epistemology, cognitive science. As an activist he ghts for the fundamental freedoms of RWX (read, write and execute). As a hacker he coordinates and contributes to the GNU project GNOWSYS. You can read more from http://www.hbcse.tifr.res.in/people/academic/nagarjunag, and he blogs occasionally at http://gnowgi.org/

The presentation is about an experimental free software project, GNOWSYS:
GNOWledge networking and organizing SYStem. GNOWSYS is a speci cation
and an implementation of modeling knowledge as a network and study the
structure and dynamics. The structure is encoded as atoms of triples that can be
further organized into classes, metaTypes and tokens at one level, and ontologies
at another level. The challenge is to address question of the evolution of both
data and ontologies in a 'single' distributed networking space.
