The 3rd International Conference on Big Data & Artificial Intelligence & Software Engineering (ICBASE 2022) was successfully held on October 21st-23rd, 2022 in Guangzhou, China (virtual conference). ICBASE 2022 brought together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry around the world to discuss the latest progress and development in these fields, creating favorable atmosphere for collaboration initiations. We were honored to have both Prof. Weijia Jia from Beijing Normal University (Zhuhai), China and Prof. Jian Yin from Sun Yat-sen University, China to serve as our Conference General Chairs. Divided into three parts, the conference was composed of keynote speeches, oral presentations, and online Q&A discussion, attracting 50 individuals. Firstly, keynote speakers were each allocated 30-45 minutes to hold their speeches. Then in the oral presentations, the excellent papers we had selected were presented by their authors in sequence. During the conference, seven sophisticated professors were invited to address their keynote speeches. Among them, Prof. Weijia Jia, one of our Conference General Chairs, delivered a speech on the topic: AI Enabled Scheduling for Mobile Edge Computing. He introduced their recent investigations on novel offline and online task/container/image/layer scheduling algorithms in heterogeneous MEC environments with AI technology. Additionally, Prof. Shaozhang Niu from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China gave a report on Digital Image and its Intelligent Forgery. In the presentation, he introduced to us something about Digital Image, including its tampering and forgery, the main research problems of digital images forensics, challenges of digital images forensics, and the prospect of content security for digital images. Their brilliant speeches had triggered heated discussion. Besides, every participant praised this conference for disseminating useful and insightful knowledge. After months of well preparation and hard work, the proceedings of ICBASE 2022 covering a bunch of papers are smoothly published. These papers feature but are not limited to the following topics: Big Data Analysis, Cloud Computing Technologies, AI Applied to the IoT, E-commerce and E-learning, etc. All the papers have been checked through rigorous review and processes to meet the requirements of publication. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all the keynote speakers, peer reviewers, and all the participants. Particularly, we would like to acknowledge the organizing committee, for its valuable inputs in shaping the conference program and reviewing the submitted papers. We firmly believe that all the attendees have had fruitful discussions and gained valuable knowledge, and will enjoy the opportunity for future collaborations.
