      <abstract>
        <p>has been initially introduced to the realm of Requirements Engineering in [6], [7] as means for reflecting ethical values and deriving system designs in software engineering. The SoV approach extends a set of existing approaches for ethically reflected system design, such as Value Sensitive Design [2] and Technikbewertung by Ropohl [8]. It is intended to be used in addition to traditional RE methodologies as a complementary tool for ethical reasoning. Other related work on the application of SoV in information systems development can be found in a theoretical and practical introduction to the SoV approach. After presenting the concepts behind the SoV, participants apply it along ethical case studies. A discussion will follow about how appropriate the approach is for ethical system design. The workshop does not expect participants to submit a contribution beforehand, but to contribute to the interactive modeling sessions. After the workshop, the results of the modeling sessions and the discussion will be documented in a research paper for which the participants will be invited as co-authors.</p>
